# Abs¶

Abs // Elementwise absolute value operation

## Description¶

Produces a single output tensor of the same element type and shape as arg, where the value at each coordinate of output is the absolute value of the value at each arg coordinate.

### Inputs¶

Name Element Type Shape
arg Any Any

### Outputs¶

Name Element Type Shape
output Same as arg Same as arg

## Mathematical Definition¶

$\mathtt{output}_{i_0, \ldots, i_{n-1}} = \left|\mathtt{arg}_{i_0, \ldots, i_{n-1}}\right|$

## Backprop¶

$\overline{\mathtt{arg}} \leftarrow \Delta\ \mathrm{sgn}(\mathtt{arg})$

## C++ Interface¶

class Abs : public ngraph::op::util::UnaryElementwiseArithmetic

Elementwise absolute value operation.

Public Functions

const std::string &description() const

Get the string name for the type of the node, such as Add or Multiply. The class name, must not contain spaces as it is used for codegen.

Return
A const reference to the node’s type name

Abs()

Constructs an absolute value operation.

Abs(const Output<Node> &arg)

Constructs an absolute value operation.

Output [d1, ...]

Parameters
• arg: Output that produces the input tensor.[d1, ...]
